ALU-DUTCH is the brand name of a line of durable, comfortable, stylish and affordable aluminum sloops and tenders.

The ALU-DUTCH sloops and tenders are designed and produced by Huisken Alubouw in the Frisian water sports village of Makkum. (The Netherlands)

The starting point of ALU-DUTCH and Huisken Alubouw is to arrive at a high-quality and affordable end product together with a customer. We think of ease of use, style, comfort and specific wishes.

An ALU-DUTCH gives years of sailing pleasure with minimal maintenance.

Our boats are completely self-draining, so you don't have to worry during a rain shower.

The spacious cockpit offers you great seating comfort in addition to lots of practical storage space.

Thanks to the further developed underwater hull, all ALU-DUTCH models have excellent sailing characteristics and are very stable.

With your ALU-DUTCH you can plan on the larger waters and stroll in the canals.

Why an aluminum boat?

An aluminum boat is durable, low-maintenance, retains its value and can also take a beating.

An aluminum boat has a very long lifespan and is also 100% recyclable.

Aluminum is very corrosion resistant, it protects itself with its own oxide layer, unlike many other metals. An aluminum boat does not rust and does not need to be painted.

Aluminum is strong.

Substantial damage is therefore limited.

Aluminum is light in weight compared to, for example, a steel or polyester boat. You can sail more efficiently and use less fuel and/or electricity during your trips.

Every ALU-DUTCH is unique!

Huisken Alubouw designs and builds in-house, which means that you can put together your ALU-DUTCH completely according to your wishes.

In addition to our standard models, we also provide custom solutions. Your ideas will be worked out in close contact with us in the design of your ALU-DUTCH.

Drive

Inboard motor, outboard motor, electric drive or Hybrid?

In addition to the ALU-DUTCH 7.20 Electric, all ALU-DUTCH models can be supplied with inboard or outboard motors, electric drive or a Hybrid system.

Only you can determine which system fits best in your ALU-DUTCH.

Do you like making long day trips, do you like to sail quietly through nature or are you a professional water skier? Do you often sail on smaller waterways in cities and nature reserves or on larger waters with zones for fast-moving boats?

These are all questions that can influence your choice of engine.

We are happy to advise you in choosing the right drive for your boat.

We also offer the choice to equip your boat with a Hybrid system.

Are you looking for a boat, but are you unsure whether a fuel engine can still be used in the future? Hybrid sailing offers the solution.

Hybrid boating is a combination of two types of propulsion systems.

Electric sailing through canals and nature reserves in peace and quiet without disturbing the peace and accelerating with your combustion engine on open water. For example, if you want to water ski or want to be home just before that one rain shower.

With a hybrid system you can go anywhere, you can switch from fuel to electric sailing and vice versa on the go.
